As we are sure you've seen, we haven't been updating our page here. We've actually converted over to a PRIVATE website sharing page that allows for our trademark programming to be kept private and not duplicated without our consent. While we know that immitation is the highest form of flattery, we also know that some people in the community have intentionally changed their business name as well as their programming and enviornment in an attemp to replicate our ONE OF A KIND Little Foot Preschool EXPERIENCE! So once you've joined the Little Foot Family, we will happily share the Private site with that information with you. Happy Adventures!

What a wonderful start to our spring we've had! Rain fall has brought beautiful green leaves, grass and even flowers! As we head into May, we are preparing for our super summer celebrations!! Every week this summer will bring an exciting new fun filled theme!!
May will consist of our last month of planned/scheduled preschool programming. We will continue our program, just a modified version. We will be doing our circle time, dance and art work outside!! We have also implemented our Kids Zumba that we tried a couple times with GREAT fun and success! We love outside play and have found a way to add kids Zumba to our outdoor play!! We will wrap up our letter & number review this month!
Mother's Day is coming!! So be on the lookout for some fun and special Mom activities from your kiddos. We will also be taking our first field trip of the spring to the Seneca Park Zoo! As always, parents are welcome ad encouraged to participate in our field trips.
We've also practiced our first "shelter in place" drill. The children did wonderful and knew exactly what to do.:)

April is coming and we are all very excited for the warmer weather. More outdoor fun and of course RAIN!!! With April showers, comes May flowers... BUT remember that with the rain also comes MUD!! We do our best to get outside daily so rain boots and a spare pare of socks are recommended. As our seasons are changing we will no longer be needing SNOW GEAR and heavy clothes. So please be sure to check your children's clothing in their cubbies and trade out those items for more light weight, weather appropriate clothes.
Our units this month will include MANY fun activities. We are also getting excited for our FAMILY event this month! Check your mailboxes for details!!
We are also going to be planting our seeds for our garden this month! It's a very exciting process for the children as they will be able to see the growth and changes in our plants. We will chart the growth and progress in our "Grow seeds, Grow" book. We will also have the children help to cultivate the soil for our garden and when the plants yeild a crop we will harvest the fruits and vegetables to eat them! It's such a rewarding process! We can't wait!
As everyone knows our classroom space is a dedicated space seperate from our living space within our home. We have had it this way for over 10 years. As our group has grown and changed over the years, we have seen the need to branch out and expand. With that in mind we have prepared for the changes and will implement them very soon! It's an exciting time as this will make our space 2X bigger than our current space.
We will also be making some changes to our outdoor space. So please bear with us as we undergo some FUN changes!
We have also added our art space too! Each and every kiddo LOVES art so much that we have dedicated a space where arts and crafts are openly available during choice time. IF you'd prefer your child/ren NOT have open access to this area please let us know so we can keep that in mind.

February has so many fun things in store for our group! With winter in full swing, we plan to play in the snow as much as the weather allows. We also have our Valentine's Day celebration where all our friends can share in a healthy bunch of red, pink, and purple snacks! We will also have one or two sweets during Valentine's week, but we promise not to offer too many sweets. We will make special gifts to send home from the children to show Mom & Dad they'll always be their little one's Valentine. As we move through the month we will focus on the letters and numbers featured in your take home calendars and we do have several outings planned this month as long as the weather conditions permit safe travel. See you child's mailboxes for those details. Permission slips are required, so be sure to sign and return those.

This month we are planning on some very fun activities! With the colder weather, we will need to be sure the children have winter play wear. If the temperature is above 32 degrees we will be going outside to play.
Our units this month are Winter and Our Home. These two units will help us learn more about Winter, the weather that it brings and how we prepare and dress for winter. Our Home Unit will allow us to discuss and draw our homes, show ourselves what our home needs to function and how it all works to keep us safe, warm and healthy.
Field trips this month will be to the Perinton Aquatic park, The Strong Museum and if possible to Finger Lakes Dental Group for a tour.
Field trip permission slips will go home a week in advance.

December is upon us and we have so much to celebrate! Christmastime brings families together, and winter is headed our way. This month we have planned a few exciting happenings in addition to our holiday schedule.
We have set up a Breakfast with Santa for our daycare families and friends. We are also having a Daycare Holiday celebration as well. We will exchange gifts with our group at this event. I have also purchased "gifts" for our daycare that will stay onsite to be shared. With so much going on we are hoping to keep the group focused on our learning as well.
Traditions are a very big part of the holiday season and we are hoping that by teaching the group about traditions they will understand a little bit more about why we have a Christmas tree, why we have a special dinner together and why we exchange gifts.
We will venture to the Darling's Christmas Tree Farm. This is by far one of the best places to go for a bit of holiday inspiration. Here we will learn how trees grow, how they are cared for before they become our Christmas tree in our homes. We will also take a trip to Stokoe Farms to visit with Santa and his reindeer!
We will also head to the George Eastman house to view the Gingerbread House exhibit and have lunch. This event is a formal setting so please be sure to wear your Sunday best. We will also have photos taken here.
Our final trip will be to the Mall for a chance to meet and talk with Santa as well as have a photo taken. This will be a group event and we will be taking a group photo here as well.

This month we are working on our Thanksgiving Unit and Farm Animals. We have several friends who will be traveling for the upcoming holiday so we may have to shift some of our planned program days around a bit to make sure everyone gets to participate.
We haven't scheduled any field trips this month with the weather changing. We will try to get to a couple local fun playgrounds on the days the weather is good enough.
Please be sure to check your child's cubby for mittens and a hat. We also ask that you please send your child with warm footwear and warm clothing. Our seasons have changed and we will need to have a warm set of spare clothes in their bins.

Our October Units will be so much fun we can hardly wait! With Pumpkins and Fall in the air, we are anticipating so many fun new experiences! We will visit the Pumpkin Patch, the Corn Maze and even take a walk through the local Park and cemetary to do some grave rubbings.
We will focus on the weather changing as well this month. Please be sure to check your child's cubby for weather/season appropriate clothes as well as making sure that they have a hat too. We will plan on sending home field trip notes for each field trip we plan on taking.
Our Halloween Party will be on Thursday October 31. Parents who plan on attending please let me know so we have plenty of snacks on hand.
